As a Head of Tax, you will manage a broad scope of tasks in International Tax Planning, Compliance and Tax Accounting and work closely with the CFO.

Function information

Your Responsibilities

  • Advise on tax services in compliance with laws and regulations
  • Define procedures and check their effective implementation
  • Trade-off and negotiate between compliance and tax rate reduction, in agreement with shareholders (from transfer price and cost sharing policies to carried forward tax losses and prepaid taxes recovery)
  • Manage and optimise the group Transfer price policy
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits and possible controversies
  • Interact with accounting staff on taxes activities
  • Interact with Finance Department on taxes accounting (budget and actual)
  • Tax standpoint support in non-recurring transactions

Requirements

Your Profile

  • University degree in Finance, taxation or a related discipline
  • Relevant experience in Corporate Tax, Tax optimisation and strategy, and transfer pricing issues
  • Preferably some experience within an advisory firm (Big 4) or an in-house tax department of an industrial Company
  • Fluency in English
  • Flexibility to travel (when required)
  • Comprehensive understanding of the impact of tax decisions on organisations
  • An excellent work ethic, solid written communication and influencing skills, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate complex tax matters in a clear and efficient way to non-fiscally educated people
  • Ability to cooperate in a team oriented environment, to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • You must also be comfortable with developing and networking with new affiliated companies
