Agriculture Underwriter

For their office in Zurich, we are looking for a motivated, team and detail-oriented person as Agriculture Underwriter. This person will join global Reinsurance Agriculture team supporting product and business development in various countries within the Group.

Agriculture Underwriter (100%)

Your challenge

As Agriculture Underwriter you will support the team in developing new products, analysis and underwriting methodologies. Moreover, you will:

• Review submissions to determine acceptability of risk (in accordance to the internal guidelines and standards)
• Implement the knowledge of strategies and apply the corresponding underwriting tools an methods to ensure that the underwriting guidelines are followed
• Understand pricing components and rating methodologies
• Support the development of the European portfolio
• Travel in Europe to establish relationships with clients and brokers
• Keeps being tuned on current issues, regulations and trends

Your profile

You bring with you at least 4 years of experience in underwriting/insurance in Agriculture. Among your qualifications there are also:

• Knowledge in/Experience with the East European market (Spain, France, Germany, and in particular Italy)
• Strong communication skills in German and English are a must; intermediate knowledge in Italian (at least B1) is a strong plus 
• Experience in underwriting all size of accounts with brokerage houses
• Motivated, organized, detail-oriented
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
