This is a high profile role within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, with accountability for reporting for the global business and exposure to senior APM Terminals executives in The Hague and to Maersk Group headquarters in Copenhagen.

The primary role of the FP&A team is to support continuous improvement of business performance by providing value-added information and analysis services to drive decision making.

This position is accountable globally for developing tools, processes, analytical approaches and reports that generate key insights to drive business performance. You will transform the current internal management reporting process to deliver and continually develop a high quality and insightful “best in class” reporting process. Furthermore in this role you deliver management reporting to the Maersk Group, and the APM Terminals section of the Maersk Group external report to shareholders. Design, execute and continually develop a “best in class” daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual internal management reporting process that delivers quality, insightful and timely information and analysis to Senior Management in APM Terminals

Understand the key business drivers to develop a holistic view of APM Terminals performance, and ensure a consistent, relevant storyline across all reporting

Support the development of a global Business Intelligence (BI) analysis and reporting tool

Design and deliver performance dashboards and scorecards, performance metrics, and conduct statistical and other analyses to bring simple, actionable, analytically-driven insights and recommendations to complex business problems

Keep up to date with external developments to identify evolving “best practice” from outside the Maersk Group. Work with FP&A professionals in other Maersk Business Units to further develop the reporting framework, and drive adoption within APM Terminals

Experience of “best-practice” reporting in a complex multinational business

Required years of experience 5+

Excellent analytical skills including the ability to identify useful and meaningful analysis to support financial and commercial findings

Communication and influencing skills to drive actions, including the ability to distil storyline from complex information

Ability to communicate effectively with other cultures and functions, both face-to-face in The Hague and virtually across a global network
