Our client is a global strategy consulting firm and is part of one of the biggest advisory companies worldwide. The Strategic Operations Manager is part of their inhouse strategy team that focusses on the Consumer Goods Practice. The clients of this team are the biggest Retailers and Consumer Goods Players of the world.

This well-known team advices their clients on their new strategies. The key question is: how do we make sure that this company is ready for the future? Due to Covid, the war in East Europe, operations is getting more and more important for consumer goods companies. How can we optimize the Value Chain? Or how can we create a local supply chain instead of globally? How to make the procurement and distribution more efficient?

Great role for a consultant who is mainly focusing on supply chain projects and wants to broaden his or her perspective. This is defiantly possible since you are part of the general consumer goods practice.

About the function

As a manager strategic operations, you advise consumer goods clients on their strategy and strategic operations issues. Furthermore, you will be in charge of the project team. You make sure that the more junior consultants within this team make the right analyses and you will update the directors and partners on the process. Moreover, you are the key contact person for the client. An important and challenging position.

You are analytical strong and you have excellent communication skills, you are a team player and working under pressure gives you energy. You can present your work clearly and you can convince others (internal and external). For this role, it is important that you have experience with project and team management. Furthermore, you have a background in consulting and are familiar with the strategic themes. Currently, you work at another strategy consulting firm, Big4 or strategy boutique. For this role travelling abroad is part of the job.

Most important criteria

• You have at least 5 years of experience within consulting or strategic operations and knowledge of the strategic themes
• You have a master's degree.
• You are analytically strong and have excellent written communications skills
• You have experience with an project or team management
• You can pitch convincingly and present well.
• You are a team player and can easily motivate others
