Job | Finance Manager - National Charity | Badenoch + Clark

This role is joining the charity's Business Partnering team with the aim to provide strategic finance support for a number of projects and initiatives.


Lead on the robust financial analysis of new and innovative ways of working and provide management information and advice for decision making.

To ensure accurate and timely financial management and to prepare and present the monthly management packs, providing analysis and commentary

Work closely with central Trust Finance, Performance and Impact teams to develop, deliver and interpret standard and ad hoc holistic management and performance information for this major new initiative.

Ensure the full value and impact of ad hoc projects are recognized, including match funding, gifts in kind, sustainable Greater Manchester legacy, as well as lessons learnt for The Trust for other major initiatives.

Ensure project financial information is correctly incorporated within Trust budgets and periodic reforecasts.

Monitoring and reporting on performance against the contract and alerting Senior Operational and Fundraising staff to initiate corrective action where appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have:

*Knowledge and understanding of public sector and private sector contracts

*Strong financial and contract management skills with the ability to co-ordinate, synthesize and deliver significant outcomes including analysis for decision making, budgets, reforecasts and audit requirements

*Financially literate - CCAB Qualified/Part-Qualified

*Commercially astute with considerable financial management skills and the ability to network with senior personnel.

*Excellent interpersonal skills and able to influence colleagues and funders

*Excellent communication skills - ability to write reports and communications

*Can understand the impact on interrelated areas and influence decisions through negotiations
