Function information
For the European Headquarter of our client, located in Diegem, we are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant (m/f).
In this role you will report directly to the Accounting Manager for the Benelux region.
Together with your team you will be responsible for a number of aspects of GL accounting, account reconciliation and reporting of the Belgium entity.
Our client is a large multinational company and certain aspects of accounting are handled by centralized functions. You will need to cooperate with different other finance teams, business partners and stakeholders within the EMEA region.
You will be responsible for:
- General Ledger accounting, including ownership of the month end closing processes
- Monitoring & control a range of intercompany transactions, processes and accounts
- Supervise prepayments and accruals
- Payroll related bookings and related reconciliations
- Fixed asset accounting
- Report opportunities and risks
- Prepare the Statutory Accounts and reconcile Statutory vs. Management Accounts
- Offer support in the preparation of the Tax-and Consolidation packages
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- A solid Accounting experience, preferably with experience as GL Accountant within an international company
- Knowledge of US GAAP is a strong asset
- Experience with high volume transactions or in the distribution B2B is a plus
- Expert in MS Excel, SAP knowledge is a must
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
